Faith Boesch led all scorers with 16 points and Rainier bashed visiting Stevenson for a 68-22 Central 2B League victory on Tuesday.

“We came out and had a good-scoring first quarter,” Rainier coach Brandon Eygabroad said. “Second quarter, we started locking up defensively and got it to 40. Then we subbed and ran the clock out.”

The Mountaineers got another big performance from Bryn Beckman, who returned recently from injury. She tallied 14 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, seven steals, one block and zero turnovers.

The Mountaineers turned the ball over 16 times, well below their season average, Eygabroad said.

“Really happy and pleased with how we took care of the ball tonight,” Eygabroad said. “That’s been a focus for us.”

Isabella Holmes added nine points, Brooklyn Swenson had eight and Selena Niemi chipped in seven.
