Peppering 15 hits across the field over just four innings, the Rainier softball team defeated Wahkiakum Tuesday afternoon, 16-1. 

The Mountaineers had a couple of standouts at the plate, led by Alyssa Lofgren’s 4 for 4 day with four runs scored, two RBIs, and a triple. Keira Anderson also had a perfect day, going 3 for 3 with three runs scored and three RBIs, and Brooklynn Swenson went 2 for 3 on a pair of doubles with two runs scored and three RBIs. 

In the circle, Ryleigh Cruse allowed just three hits, with the one run unearned with another six punchouts. 

The Mountaineers play Kalama on Thursday in another home contest in Central 2B League play.
