Playing down in Cathlamet Thursday, the Rainier volleyball team defeated Wahkiakum in four sets, 25-18, 25-13, 19-25, 27-25. 

Acacia Murphy led the team with 14 kills and eight blocks in a dominant showing at the net. Brooklynn Swenson dished out 32 assists, and Lilly Johnson had 28 digs in the back row. 

“Every game they improve and work hard,” Mountaineers coach Carrie Ooms said. “I’m super proud of them.”

Rainier takes on Winlock next Tuesday at home for its next match.
