The Rainier softball team stayed unbeaten on Tuesday, as the Mountaineers defeated North Thurston 7-5.

Keira Anderson hit two home runs on the day, including a two-run shot in the first and a three-run shot in the third that helped the Mountaineers (3-0) take a 5-1 lead through three.

Two more in the fifth helped Rainier push its lead to 7-1.

North Thurston put together a rally in the bottom of the seventh, but Ryleigh Cruse was able to strand two runners in scoring position to finish off the win.

Anderson finished 3 for 4 at the dish with her two homers and five RBIs, and Brooklynn Swenson went 2 for 3 and scored three runs.

Rainier is back in action on Thursday, when they’ll head to South Bend to take on Raymond-South Bend.
