The Rainier football team earned its first win of the season on Friday, as the Mountaineers topped Raymond-South Bend 43-34.

Rainier had big plays in all three phases, as Dorien Cano ran for two touchdowns, while Hunter Howell logged a rushing and receiving touchdown.

Jayden Alegarbes returned a kick for a long touchdown and Keagin Howell scooped up a loose ball and returned it for a defensive score.

The Mountaineers (1-1) will be back on the road next Friday when they head to Morton to face MWP.
