MWP hosts 2B meet


The Adna, Mossyrock, Rainier and Winlock cross country teams all met up with Morton-White Pass at Cascade Peaks on Thursday for a Central 2B meet.

Adna’s Jordan Stout beat the field of 42 runners in the boys race by over a minute, finishing with a time of 16:11.05. Rainier junior Madison Ingram did him even better for dominance, beating the second-place girls runner — teammate Rayanna Wisner — by over two and a half minutes with a time of 20:11.2.

The Mountaineers dominated the girls race, with Ella Marvin (24:32.24), Kinsley Barlow (25:02.97), Raychel Hansen (25:14.17) and Emma Mathson (25:48.14) all placing in the top 10. Mossyrock’s Joan Wedam (23:06.65) was third, MWP’s Hope Whitney (24:57.93) was fifth and Adna’s Megan Stout (25:41.3) was ninth. Victoria Sancho led Winlock with a time of 27:30.52.

Behind Jordan Stout, Winlock’s Chase Trodahl was second in the boys’ race at 17:19.75. Zach Hamilton took third for Rainier at 17:47.55, just ahead of MWP’s Hunter Brackett, who finished in 17:48.86.

Ethan Wedam led the Mossyrock boys with a 11th-place time of 20:07.34.
