Nature Nurture Farmacy to host classes on pickling, soap making and more in Chehalis

Nature Nurture Farmacy — a local nonprofit focused on improving community health through botanical medicine, sustainable food practices and education — will host a variety of classes in October.
All classes will be held at Nature Nurture Farmacy, located at 403 N. Market Blvd. in Chehalis.
Beginning on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 5 p.m., KelseaMae Wade will host a pickling class. Attendees are invited to bring their own jars. Tickets are $30 per person.
Then, on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 5:30 p.m., herbalist Lauren Olean will host a fire cider-making class. Fire cider is a herb-based drink that can boost immune system health. Attendees are asked to bring their own jar to the fire cider class. Tickets are $30 per person.
Olean will host part one of a soap-making class on Friday, Oct. 11, starting at 6 p.m., discussing soap recipes and the best oils to use along with going through the soap-making process from start to finish. Tickets are $65 per person.
On Saturday, Oct. 12, beginning at 11 a.m., Claire Zimmerman of Naturopathic Medicine will teach a salve-making class. Tickets are $30 per person.
The final class of the month will be part two of Olean’s soap-making class on Friday, Oct. 18, starting at 6 p.m. Basic soap-making knowledge is required for this class, which will go in depth on natural soapmaking and how to add botanicals to soaps. Tickets are $65 per person.
