Two people were shot in Centralia on Saturday night, according to the Centralia Police Department.
Gunshots were first reported in the 1500 block of Oxford Avenue at about 10:30 p.m.
Police learned two people — who were not identified in a news release — sustained gunshot wounds. While being driven to Providence Centralia Hospital in a private vehicle, the victims were involved in a collision in the 1400 block of Mellen Street, according to police. They sustained additional injuries in the crash
Law enforcement officials from the Washington State Patrol, the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office, the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office and the Chehalis Police Department assisted Centralia police in a search for the suspects, but they were not located.
The investigation is ongoing.
