The Oakville baseball team’s seniors won their final home game on Friday, when the Acorns defeated Wishkah Valley 15-1 in five innings.
Joseph Charles hit a home run and drove in four runs, while Daniel Rodas rallied a pair of hits and drove in two runs. Isaiah Bird and Koner Burnett both added a pair of hits and brought home a run.
Six different Acorns got time on the mound, including Bird (two innings), Burnett (one inning) and Dre Kluth (one inning), who combined to strike out nine Loggers.
Oakville (6-9) will hit the road on Tuesday, when they’ll play an opponent that is to be determined in a district tournament game. A win would put the Acorns in a winner-to-state district semifinal against Naselle.
