Offensive Woes Doom Tigers on the Road

Centralia couldn’t get its offensive going as the Tigers fell behind in the second quarter and couldn’t recover during a 48-37, non-league loss on the road to King’s Way Christian on Wednesday.

“We did a good job defensively, scrambling and covering,” Centralia coach Kyle Donahue said. “They have a couple good shooters. On the offensive end, we never got in sync. Just poor execution and no rhythm. And when we did get looks, we missed a ton.”

Donahue estimates the Tigers left about 16 to 18 points at the rim that should have gone in.

Senior Landon Kaut led offensively with 13 points and six rebounds. Senior Cole Wasson added nine points and nine boards, while senior Brandon Yeung chipped in six points and three assists. Brady Sprague finished with six points.

Centralia shot 6 of 20 from the field, including 6 of 14 from deep.

Centralia (4-6, 2-3 EvCo) hosts Tumwater on Friday.
