Posted

After a strong fall season, including rodeos in Longview, Walla Walla, Coulee City, and Toppenish, and another strong couple of rodeos in the spring, Onalaska freshman Sage Teitzel qualified for the breakaway roping national event in Gillette, Wyoming in mid July.

Teitzel competed in rodeos in the spring in Yelm, Okanogan, Basin City, Coeur d’Alene, and Kennewick for the state finals.

She finished in the top-3 to advance to nationals in breakaway roping.

Teitzel will compete against the top-4 breakaway ropers from each state in 12 go-rounds starting July 16 in Wyoming.
