An Onalaska man is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail for allegedly attempting to strangle a woman in Toledo on Nov. 22.
The victim reported the defendant, 30-year-old Connor Fredrick Green, had “become upset at her for no reason” and struck her in the face. Then, when she attempted to call 911, she said he “began choking her … to the point she could not breathe,” according to court documents. The victim was eventually able to lock herself inside her vehicle and call 911. Responding deputies noted “two large red marks on the side of (her) neck where she said she had been strangled,” according to court documents.
Green has been charged with both second- and fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.
His next court appearance is an arraignment hearing scheduled for Dec. 2.
