Pe Ell drops second straight at Ocosta

Posted

The Pe Ell boys basketball team lost its second straight game on Monday, falling 66-50 in Ocosta.

The Trojans came out of the gate strong, building a slim lead after one, but the Wildcats won the second 21-9 to take a double-digit lead into halftime.

Pe Ell did what it could to try to make a dent in the deficit, but Ocosta was able to keep them at arm’s length.

Blake Nelson led the way with 12 points and eight rebounds, while Jakob Hayes added 11 points. Silas Edgar and Calan McCarty just missed double-digits with nine and eight, respectively.

Pe Ell (5-4, 2-0 1B CVL) returns to league play on Tuesday at home against Oakville.
