The Pe Ell wrestling team headed to the coast on Saturday for the Bash at the Beach Tournament in North Beach, and the Trojans finished fifth out of 12 teams.

With 81 team points, the Trojans finished just 8.5 points behind Aberdeen for a top-three finish, and they were just four points back of Ocosta from sneaking into the top four.

Ethen Noble won at 175, while Ethan Faulkner (138),  Blake Burnett (165), and Konnor Pilz (157) finished third in their classes. Cowyn McGrath placed third at 138.

“We wrestled hard and did really well,” Pe Ell coach Toneil Magruder said.
