Three weeks ago, Morton Elementary School held their annual jog-a-thon at both the playfield at the school and the high school track. The students raised $6,035.67 and were rewarded with ice cream bars from Bob and Charlotte Muir, and the chance to throw water balloons at staff members. The targets of the water balloons were principal Josh Brooks, Patricia Fairhart, Kevin Dunlap and Dana Nevin.
