Christina Witchey carries a flag while sporting a red poppy, a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I, while walking with a group during a Wounded Warrior 5K through Chehalis Thursday. “I do this in honor of all veterans, especially my friend Ryan, my cousin Ray, and my grandpa Joe. Soldiers who sign up to serve for our country need to be supported. This is my small act of love,” Witchey wrote in a Facebook post.
