Taking another team victory on a sunny day at Riverside Golf Course, the Adna boys golf team defeated Winlock and Mary M Knight Thursday afternoon with a combined team score of 197, to Winlock’s 273.

Mary M Knight only fielded two golfers and did not record a team score.

The Pirates were led by match medalist Braeden Salme, who carded a 41 at the lead spot. Andrew Grim (56), Josh McGuire (49), Seth Meister (51), Lenz Bigbee (56), and Ben Andrew (63) rounded out Adna’s scores.

“Braeden played really well,” Adna coach Luke Salme said of his son. “Started off with a birdie and then just played solid golf all day. All of our kids had some good holes, which is what we want this early in the season.”

Winlock’s four golfers were Julian CAmps (65), Trent Poirrier (67), Nicholas Ming (69), and Monty Schmitz (72).
