Pirates Can’t Keep Pace With Chinooks in First League Loss

Though it hung around in the first quarter, the Adna boys basketball team couldn’t keep up with Jackson Esary, Jack Doerty, and Kalama, falling on the road, 73-62, Saturday afternoon.

Delayed by two days due to flooding in Lewis County, the Pirates had three double-digit scorers in Chase Collins (19 points), Braeden Salme (15 points), and Lane Johnson (15 points), but didn’t have any answers for Esary and Doerty, who combined for 50 points in the win.

The Pirates shot 46% from the field, and made just six of their 20 three-point attempts in the loss. They’ll look to rebound against Onalaska at home on Wednesday.
