Pirates Continue Torrid Start Through League in Win Over Toledo

Playing bright and early at 10 a.m. Saturday morning, the Adna softball team soundly defeated Toledo on the road, 10-2 in seven innings. 

The Pirates’ Natalie Loose went 2 for 4 on the day with four RBIs, and Danika Hallom added a 3 for 4 line with two RBIs and two runs scored to lead the day on offense, with the Pirates totaling 16 total hits against Toledo ace Bethany Bowen. 

In the pitcher’s circle for Adna was Karlee Von Moos, who threw a complete game, striking out 10 with two walks and two earned runs on six hits. 

Toledo scored both its runs in the sixth inning, with Quyn Norberg going 2 for 3 at the plate with a double and a run scored, and Mialeigh Jurica going 1 for 2 with a run scored. 

The Riverhawks take on Rainier next on Monday in a doubleheader, while Adna looks to keep it rolling and stay unbeaten in league against Stevenson.
