Pirates Go Yard Four Times in Three-Inning Win Over Nooks

Sometimes, it’s just your day at the plate. While the Adna softball team has had no trouble scoring in the past, the Pirates were downright unstoppable Friday afternoon in a 14-1, three-inning victory over Kalama.

Four different Pirates had a home run blast (Sadie Burdick, Brooklyn Loose, Kendall Humphrey, and Ashlee VonMoos) in the victory. Burdick went a perfect 3 for 3 with three runs scored and two RBIs, and VonMoos homered in her only at-bat to score three runs.

In the circle, Karlee VonMoos threw a perfect three innings with seven strikeouts, before Grace Beaulieu finished the game giving up one unearned run in the top of the fourth.

The Pirates are scheduled to play Pacific powerhouse Pe Ell-Willapa Valley tomorrow in Pe Ell at Noon.
