The Adna girls basketball team held Winlock to single digits in all four quarters Wednesday, pulling away from a 67-26 win in C2BL play.

Karlee VonMoos paced the Pirates with 22 points, with Brooklyn Loose adding 11 and Kendall Humphrey scoring nine. Eight Adna players scored over the course of the win.

“We did a good job early on, Karlee had a really good floor game,” Adna coach Chris Bannish said. “I really thought Kendall Humphrey did a good job today, we’ve put her in a few spots defensively to use her athleticism, and she did really well tonight.”

On the other side, Kindyl Kelly and Kiya Peppers did all the scoring for Winlock, putting in 13 points apiece.

Adna led 14-6 after the first quarter, and really got its offense going in a 23-point second to pull out to a big lead.

The Pirates will take on Wahkiakum — the defending C2BL champs — at home Friday, while Winlock will get a rivalry matchup at Toledo.
