The Adna volleyball team had to pull out one close set in Cathlamet on Tuesday, but ran away with the other two, sweeping Wahkiakum 25-8, 25-19, 25-14 in Central 2B League play.

Kendall Humphrey led the Pirates with 13 kills and also added six digs and three aces to her final totals. Danika Hallom added five kills, five digs, a stuff block, and three aces, while Mirian Wilson had five kills and a team-leading four blocks.

Gaby Guard dished out 17 assists, dug up seven balls, and posted three blocks and a pair of kills. Fellow setter Brooklyn Loose had 11 assists, three kills, three digs, and an ace.

Parker Feist led the Pirates with 13 digs, while Natalie Humphrey had eight, and Charissa Schierman added three kills, a block, and two digs.

The Pirates’ lone troubles came in the second set, when they found themselves going into the net on multiple occasions and lost a bit of their touch at the service line. But they righted the ship in time, and rode momentum the rest of the way.
