Pirates One-Hit Bulldogs in Shutout Victory

Adna softball held Stevenson to just one hit and Pirates pummeled their way past the visiting Bulldogs for a 17-0, run-rule victory in three innings on Monday.

Eight Pirates combined for 14 hits, scoring five runs in the first inning, seven in the second inning and five more in the third to end the game early.

Margarite Humphrey went 2 for 2 for the Pirates with two RBIs, three runs and a walk. Julianna Farmer was 3 for 3 with two RBIs and a run, while Emerson Nelson was 2 for 2 with a two RBIs and a run.

Ava Simms tossed two scoreless, hitless and walkless innings, striking out all six batters she faced. Bailey Naillon went one inning, striking out two while allowing a hit.

Adna (6-2) heads to Rainier for a 4 p.m. contest on Thursday.
