Sometimes, it’s just your night. That seems to happen more often than not for the Adna boys basketball team, which shot its way past Wahkiakum, 87-47, Monday night at home.
The Pirates made 14 3-pointers as a team, with a whopping eight shots from deep coming from Chase Collins, alone. The shooter made four in the first quarter, and never looked back in a 28-point performance.
Three other Pirates scored in double figures, including Braeden Salme (15 points), Lane Johnson (14 points) and Eli Smith (11 points).
As a team, Adna had 25 assists and just five turnovers in a dominant and incredibly clean showcase.
The Pirates will look to keep the shots falling against Pe Ell on Wednesday, though the Trojans have been in COVID-19 protocol. If that game is canceled, they would play next against Toutle Lake at the Moda Center in Portland on Saturday.
