Pirates Roll Past Eagles in Non-League Tilt

Led by strong efforts from Braeden Salme, Seth Meister, and Eli Smith, the Adna boys basketball team blasted past Elma at home Friday night, 79-59, in a non-league matchup.

The Pirates scored in bunches all night long, putting up 47 in the first half alone, a number the Eagles couldn’t keep up with.

“That was another great non-league game for us,” Pirates coach Luke Salme said. “That Elma team is a tough, scrappy team. They’re gonna win plenty of games this year. We will watch film, get back to work, and hopefully be ready for these league games starting next week.”

Braeden Salme led the charge with a game-high 32 points, and Meister and Smith added 20 and 19 points, respectively.

The Pirates take on Toledo next at home on Tuesday.
