Pirates Stuffed in Loss to Ravens

Posted

Taking the trip out to the coast, the Adna football team couldn’t produce nearly enough offense in a 34-2 defeat to Raymond-South Bend Friday night on South Bend’s turf field.

The Pirates (2-2) fell behind in an early hole, and got worn down by a bruising Raven attack that heavily featured quarterback Austin Snodgrass, who scored the first three touchdowns of the game on the ground.

While the Ravens were building up a 34-0 lead, the Pirates simply couldn’t get anything going. They managed to put some drives together on the ground, but an oft-vaunted passing attack was all but stymied. Jaxon Dunnagan led the Pirates with 140 yards on the ground, but Adna managed to crack the scoreboard just once, in the fourth quarter, off a safety.

They’ll look to bounce back next week against Wahkiakum.
