Portland house to be immortalized as a ‘Twilight’ Lego set

Fans of the “Twilight” series go so hard that they manifested a fan-made Lego Cullen house into actual existence and I couldn’t be more proud of them.

Let me explain.

The company just announced its Lego Ideas First 2023 Review Results, which includes seven fan-made sets that are being adapted into real sets that you’ll be able to buy and put together.

Among those seven ideas was, of course, the Cullen house. In the film, the home is depicted as a spacious house with almost more glass than structure that houses the Cullen family. They are a family of seven vampires parading around Forks, Washington, pretending (with only mediocre success) to be humans.

In real life, the house is a beautiful home atop a hill in Northwest Portland and it’s unlikely vampires live there.

The Lego set, originally made by “Twilight” and Lego fan Nick Micheels, who goes by the screen name LobsterThermidor on the Lego Ideas site, includes minifigures that look like some of the vampires, our protagonist human Bella and, of course, some of the werewolves.

You know Nick is a real “Twilight” fan because none of the rooms have beds (because Stephanie Meyer’s vampires never sleep).

Micheels’ Cullen house was reviewed and ultimately chosen as one of the seven to be turned into a Lego set because the design gained 10,000 supporters between January and May 2023.

There is no official word on when the set will be released to consumers. There’s a chance some changes will be made to Micheels’ original design. In the announcement, the photos of the fan-made designs all say, “FAN MODEL – NOT FINAL PRODUCT.”

So we’ll have to wait. But when we do purchase the set, we can all whisper to the box, as will be our duty as “Twilight” fans, “Where the hell have you been, Loca?”
