A 10-run third inning propelled the two seed Pe-Ell Willapa Valley Titans to a 16-0 victory in five innings over four seed Raymond-South Bend Tuesday in a 2B District 4 elimination game.

Each of the top five hitters in PWV’s lineup recorded at least two hits and drove in at least one run. In the third-inning outburst, the Titans logged eight hits, six of which tallied at least a run, as well as two walks.

Liam Smaciarz provided three RBIs on a pair of doubles at the plate while shutting down the Ravens offense with five innings of one-hit ball, striking out five and throwing only 59 pitches.

The Titans (13-6, 8-2 P2BL) will move on to a winner-to-state consolation semifinal Wednesday against two seed Napavine, which lost to Ilwaco in the semifinals Friday, at Adna High School. If PWV wins, it will be its first state tournament berth since 2017.
