Ribbon-Cutting for Dirty Thumb Nursery Scheduled for March 28

The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce has announced it will hold a ribbon-cutting for Dirty Thumb Nursery to celebrate its reopening under new ownership at 1580 state Route 6, across the field from Adna High School, on March 28 at noon.

Jena and Kyle Asleton purchased the nursery from previous owners Connie and Spencer Davis who ran the business since 1989. The Asletons will be present to celebrate the reopening. As part of the celebration, Dirty Thumb Nursery will offer roses a special price and refreshments will be served.

Prior to purchasing the nursery, the Asletons worked at the Riverside Golf Course for over 10 years. The nursery was listed for sale in 2020 and the sale was closed in October 2022. With help from the previous owners, the Asletons have learned to run the business and the Davis duo will continue to mentor them for two years while the couple adjusts to nursery life.

Dirty Thumb Nursery currently offers annuals, perennials, tree shrubs, berries, vegetable starts and hanging baskets. For more information, visit www.dirtythumbnursery.com.

The nursery officially opens April 1.
