Richard George Stumm Sr. of Tenino, Wash., 82, passed peacefully Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019, at Capital Medical Center, after a long off and on battle with his heart and lungs. He was born May 20, 1937, in Cambridge, Idaho, to Loren and Irene, who have preceded him in death.
Richard served with the United States Army National Guard in his early years. He retired after a long and successful career with Weyerhauser.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Kathy. They enjoyed tending to their hobby farm, especially the horses, cats and gardening.
Richard will be missed by his son, Rick (Phyllis) Stumm of Centralia, Wash.; daughter, Eileen (Scott) Weyrauch of Newman Lake, Wash.; stepson, Dale (Shawna) Jones of DuPont, Wash.; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family appreciates your condolences and requests any remembrances be made to the American Cancer Society. A private family gathering will be held at interment.
