The Toledo softball team held on to win a high-scoring non-league affair, downing Raymond-South Bend 11-9 on Tuesday.
The Riverhawks sprung for four runs in the first inning, five more in the third, and two in the fourth to jump out to an 11-2 lead early. From there, it was a matter of holding on, as the Ravens brought in three runs home in the sixth and three more in the seventh to make things a bit more interesting.
Abbie Marcil and Quyn Norberg both scored three runs for the Riverhawks, with Norberg smacking a triple.
Toledo will get back on the field Monday, hosting Centralia in another non-league game.
