The Toledo softball team took control early on Thursday in Toutle, building an early lead and rolling to a 12-3 win over Toutle Lake.
Peyton Holter helped herself in the circle before throwing a pitch, hitting an RBI double to open the scoring in the top of the first. Ellie Seely added a two-run double, and Xtyn Norberg hit a sacrifice fly to make it 4-0 Toledo.
Toutle Lake got one back in the bottom half, but the Riverhawks added three across the next two innings before putting up another four-spot in the fifth to extend their lead to 11-2.
Holter finished her day with three hits and three runs batted in at the plate, and she also struck out nine and allowed three runs (one earned) in a complete-game effort in the circle.
Kailea Lairson added two hits, including a three-run home run, and Seely collected three hits, including two doubles, and drove in three runs of her own.
The Riverhawks (4-1-2) will be back on Monday, April 14, when they will head to Rainier for a league matchup.
