The Toledo girls basketball team couldn’t get itself a non-league win Saturday, losing 51-26 to Mount Vernon Christian. 

The Hurricanes led 29-12 at the half and only grew the lead the rest of the night, holding the Riverhawks (4-1, 1-0 C2BL) to single digits in all four quarters for their first loss of the season.

Hope Gould led Toledo with nine points, and Ryah Stanley scored eight. Peyton Holter brought down six rebounds to lead the Riverhawks on the glass.

Toledo will return to C2BL action Wednesday, at home against Adna.
