Riverhawks Run Past Visiting Timberwolves

Toledo raced out to a 23-7 lead in the first quarter and never looked back in a 52-24 victory over visiting Morton-White Pass in non-league play on Wednesday.

Toledo senior Greenlee Clark led all scorers with 14 points, Taylor Langham added 13 and Vanesa Rodriguez added seven in the win.

“We started out strong and started getting out in transition,” Toledo coach Randy Wood said. 

The Riverhawks totalled 36 rebounds as a team, led by Rodriguez’ team-high six boards.

MWP was led by Natalya Marcial’s eight points while freshman Kiera Miller added seven.

Morton-White Pass (0-2 overall) hosts Kalama on Friday at White Pass High School.

Toledo (2-1 overall) hosts Class 1A Seton Catholic at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
