Toledo took advantage of a shorthanded Mossyrock squad to come away with a 37-21 non-league victory at home on Tuesday.

Riverhawks’ Taylor Langham led all scorers with 15 points while Vanessa Rodriguez added nine.

“Both teams hustled and worked their butts off,” Toledo coach Randy Wood said. “It was an early-season game. Our pressure wore them down, and they were a little shorthanded.”

The Vikings were without star point guard Payton Torrey, who was out with an illness. Caelynn Marshall stepped up and scored a team-high 12 points in Torrey’s absence.

Toledo (2-1 overall) hosts Morton-White Pass on Wednesday. Mossyrock (2-2) hosts Three Rivers Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday for its league opener.
