Nine runs in the bottom of the second pushed the Warriors in their penultimate regular season game to a 16-1, five-inning cruiser past their previous league foe Black Hills on Thursday night at home.
Rochester (13-4) has responded from a one-run loss against Montesano with back-to-back double digit outbursts at the plate. McKenna Vassar and Arissa LeBaron each recorded multiple extra base hits and combined for eight RBIs.
Charlie Culp also recorded three RBIs for the Warriors, who close the regular season on Friday against Castle Rock. Black Hills (8-11) scored its lone run on an RBI hit by Hannah O’Shurak in the second.
The Wolves end the regular season at home versus Centralia to close league play.
