The Rochester volleyball team opened Evergreen League play with a win on Thursday, defeating Elma 25-17, 25-19, 17-25, 25-21 in Elma.
Lexi Dupont and Charlie Culp led the way offensively, as Dupont had 10 kills and three blocks, and Culp tallied 19 assists.
“Lexi was unstoppable at the net tonight,” Rochester coach Courtney Baird said. “Huge game changer for us. And Charlie was putting the ball in the hitter's hands, so they were really able to swing tonight.”
Karmae Hines had six aces from the service line, and Jessanie Quarles led the defensive effort with 15 digs.
“Super excited by that first league showing and looking forward to next week,” Baird said.
The Warriors (3-4, 1-0 1A Evergreen) will return to the court on Monday in Raymond in a non-league contest against Raymond-South Bend.
