Rochester Youth Dynamics Fun Run Scheduled for May 15

A new Rochester chapter of Youth Dynamics, a non-profit Christian ministry group with the goal of helping youth build relationships and reach their full potential, is holding a Fun Run on May 15 to raise money and begin outreach efforts in Rochester.

Participants can join in-person at the race location, the Swede Hall parking lot on Albany Street in Rochester, or participate virtually from a location of their choice.

“This allows you to choose your own route on your own time all while being part of something special,” reads event information on the nonprofit’s website.

Registration is $20, and while participants can register up until race day, T-shirts and virtual running packets are only available for registrations received by May 1. The T-shirt cost is included in the registration, but participants can choose not to order one and instead donate the extra money to Youth Dynamics.

Check-in begins at 8 a.m. on May 15 and the in-person run begins at 9 a.m. The virtual entry cutoff is 11 a.m. The awards ceremony takes place at noon. Additional details and prize information is available online at youthdynamics.dojiggy.io/rochesterfunrun21/Campaign.

Rochester Youth Dynamics will provide weekly events and clubs, leadership training, outdoor adventure trips and retreats for youth ages 11 through 24 with the goal of helping them build valuable relationships and reach their full potential.

“Rochester Youth Dynamics is new to our community and we are excited about the opportunity we have to come alongside our youth who are experiencing challenges and pressures unlike any other time in history,” said a press release. “Your participation and fundraising efforts will be used to support these events for the youth in the community of Rochester.  We are so excited about what is in store in the lives of our youth!”

Youth Dynamics was founded in the 1970s and currently has chapters in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
