Roger D. Durgin passed away at home in Vancouver, Wash., Nov. 28, 2019. He was born July 17, 1949, in Centralia, Wash.
Roger graduated from Centralia High School in 1967, and earned a bachelor of arts degree from Central Washington State College in 1971. Before retiring in 2014, he was employed by the City of Vancouver as a water quality inspector. He found this career challenging but rewarding.
Roger is survived by his wife, Joan; brothers, Tom (Peggy) of Centralia, Wash., Ed (Jill) of Vancouver, Wash., and Kevin (Gail) of Rochester, Minn.; and nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Vancouver, where a memorial will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, at 1 p.m., at 6700 MacArthur Blvd., Vancouver, WA 98661.
