Sheds and RVs Destroyed in Winlock Fire

Multiple detached structures were destroyed in a two-alarm fire in the 100 block of McLaughlin Road in Winlock Friday afternoon.

Approximately 20 firefighters from Lewis County Fire Districts 15, 2, 20, 5 and 6 responded to the fire at 3:30 p.m. on June 4.

While crews were able to protect the primary residence, two RVs and two sheds were destroyed, and a secondary residence was heavily damaged.



Crews deemed the fire under control at 4:15 p.m. and units remained at the scene to extinguish hot spots until approximately 6:10 p.m.

The Lewis County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
