Sirens: A Missing Plane in Chehalis; Injuries After Crashes; Theft; Shoplifting; Assault

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Criminal Trespass

• A subject was cited for trespassing in the 600 block of South Diamond Street just before 7:25 p.m. on Oct. 31.

• A subject was cited for trespassing in the 100 block of South Silver Street at approximately 10:25 a.m. on Nov. 1.

 

Malicious Mischief

• Just after 8:25 a.m. on Nov. 1, damage to dispensing machinery at a business in the 1500 block of Kresky Avenue likely caused by someone trying to pry it off the wall was reported.

• Graffiti was reported on a fence at a residence in the 600 block of South Tower Avenue at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 1.

• Damage to a car window in the 1700 block of Sunset Way was reported at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 2.

 

Crashes

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just after 5:35 a.m. on Nov. 2.

• Minor injuries were reported after a two-vehicle collision in the 200 block of Harrison Avenue just after 4:45 p.m. on Nov. 2.

Assault

• A juvenile was arrested in the 1300 block of Alexander Street at 5:45 p.m. on Nov. 1 and was booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Justice Center for alleged fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

 

Theft

• A shoplift was reported in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue just after 6:40 p.m. on Nov. 1.

• A Nintendo Switch was reported stolen from the 100 block of South Silver Street at 9:40 a.m. on Nov. 2.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Hit-and-Run

• At 9:15 a.m. on Nov. 1, a hit-and-run that occurred in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue the day before was reported.



 

Theft

• A subject was arrested in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 9:20 a.m. on Nov. 1 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly shoplifting.

• Just after 9:20 a.m. on Nov. 1, a caller reported they lost their wallet in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue a few days prior and noticed someone was trying to use a card from the wallet in Olympia.

• Just before 9:40 a.m. on Nov. 1, a burglary that occurred in the 1900 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue sometime over the weekend was reported.

• At approximately 11:25 a.m. on Nov. 1, a caller reported they had purchased an airplane from someone with a private hangar in the 900 block of Northwest Airport Road but the original owner locked the gate and didn’t allow the buyer access to it. The caller reported the plane is now missing.

• Just before 1:10 p.m. on Nov. 1, a burglary that occurred in the 1600 block of North National Avenue sometime over the weekend was reported.

• A second-degree burglary reported in the 200 block of West Main Street just after 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 1 is under investigation.

 

Crashes

• A vehicle crashed into a guardrail in the 1000 block of Northwest West Street just before 10 a.m. on Nov. 1. No injuries were reported.

• Minor injuries were reported after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way and Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 3:05 p.m. on Nov. 2.

 

Criminal Trespass

• A subject was cited for disorderly conduct and was trespassed from the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 9:25 a.m. on Nov. 2.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 146 inmates, including 131 in the general population and 15 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 114 were reported male and 17 were reported female. All WERC inmates were reported male.
