Malicious Mischief

• At approximately 8 a.m. on Nov. 29, there was a report of someone who tried to siphon gas from a vehicle in the 1500 block of North National Avenue over the weekend and spilled a large amount of gas.

 

Tire Stabbing

• At approximately 8:40 a.m. on Nov. 29, there was a report of a subject stabbing the front tire of a vehicle and yelling at a woman inside before leaving the scene. No arrests were made.

 

Animal Bones

• Just before 9:10 a.m. on Nov. 29, a caller reported finding animal bones on the curb in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way.

 

Assault

• Multiple subjects were involved in a fight in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue just after 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 29. At least one subject was cited for fourth-degree assault.

Hit-and-Run

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 1:45 p.m. on Nov. 30.

 

Theft

• A subject was cited for allegedly stealing a headlamp from the 1700 block of North National Avenue just after 2:15 p.m. on Nov. 30.

 

Death

• A death reported in the 2100 block of Southwest Woodland Circuit just after 7:45 p.m. on Nov. 30 is under investigation.

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft



• A subject was cited for allegedly stealing alcohol from the 600 block of North Tower Avenue at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Nov. 29.

• A debit card was reported stolen from the 900 block of South Scheuber Road just before 10:35 p.m. on Nov. 29. 

• Merchandise was reported stolen from a business in the 100 block of West High Street just after 2:15 p.m. on Nov. 30. The incident is under investigation.

• A subject was referred to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office for charges of third-degree theft after allegedly shoplifting from a business in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at 4:55 p.m. on Nov. 30.

• Credit card fraud was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 7:10 p.m. on Nov. 30.

 

Malicious Mischief

• Just after 8:15 a.m. on Nov. 29, damage to a vehicle window in the 1200 block of West Walnut Street that occurred sometime overnight was reported.

• A front door to a residence in the 100 block of Kalyn Street was reported damaged at 3:10 p.m. on Nov. 30.

 

Assault

• A subject was arrested in the 800 block of West First Street just after 10 a.m. on Nov. 29 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

 

Possible Child Abuse

• A report of possible child abuse made in the 600 block of North Pearl Street at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 30 is under investigation.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 133 inmates, including 114 in the general population and 19 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 94 were reported male and 20 were reported female. All WERC inmates were reported male.
