Sirens: Burglar Pukes Everywhere; Arrested With Cart of Goods; Stranger Does Laundry in Home

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Crashes

• One driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after they were involved in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of West Fifth and North Pearl streets just after 11:45 a.m. on Nov. 26. The incident occurred when one driver reportedly turned left from the right lane of a one-way street.

• A non-injury, single-vehicle collision was reported in the 1200 block of Mellen Street just before 9:10 p.m. on Nov. 28.

 

Trespassing

• A subject was cited for trespassing in the 600 block of South Tower Avenue just after 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 26.

 

Theft

• A battery was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 500 block of East Magnolia Street just after 12:45 p.m. on Nov. 26.

• Shoes were reported stolen from a business in the 1300 block of Lum Road at 7:45 p.m. on Nov. 26.

• Just before 9:15 p.m. on Nov. 26, there was a report of an unknown subject rummaging through vehicles in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue.

• Just before 8 a.m. on Nov. 27, there was a report of a burglary to a refrigerated trailer in the 1000 block of F Street containing food products.

• Clothing was reported stolen from the 1020 block of Lum Road at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Nov. 27.

• A dump truck was reported stolen from the 1700 block of South Gold Street just after 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 28.

 

Break-Ins

• A subject was arrested in the 100 block of West High Street just after 6:40 p.m. on Nov. 27 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly using a butane torch to try and access a storage container at a department store.

• A subject was arrested in the 700 block of K Street just after 6:50 p.m. on Nov. 28 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly entering a stranger’s home and doing laundry.

 

Assault

• A subject was arrested in the 1800 block of Ahlers Avenue at 11:50 p.m. on Nov. 26 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

• A subject was cited for fourth-degree assault and communication with a minor for immoral purposes in the 1500 block of Lewis Street just after 11:10 a.m. on Nov. 27.

 

Malicious Mischief

• Damage to car windows in the 800 block of South Pearl Street was reported at approximately 12:40 p.m. on Nov. 28.

Death Investigation

• A death reported in the 100 block of Southwest Washington Avenue just after 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 24 is under investigation.

 

Theft

• Just before 12:10 p.m. on Nov. 24, a shoplift that occurred in the 2100 block of North National Avenue a few days prior was reported.

• A third-degree theft reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 2 p.m. on Nov. 24 is under investigation.

• A second-degree robbery reported in the 600 block of West Main Street at approximately 7:05 a.m. on Nov. 25 is under investigation.

• Mail was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Northeast Boistfort Street at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 26.

• A utility trailer was reported stolen from the 1900 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 4:45 p.m. on Nov. 26.



• Two subjects were cited for shoplifting in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 11 p.m. on Nov. 26.

• A theft reported in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue just before 3:40 a.m. on Nov. 27 is under investigation.

• A subject was arrested in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 8:55 p.m. on Nov. 27 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree burglary after allegedly taking a cart full of stuff from a business.

• A third-degree theft reported in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard just after 7:20 p.m. on Nov. 28 is under investigation.

 

Break-Ins

• An attempted burglary was reported in the 600 block of Northwest Folsom Street at approximately 6:50 a.m. on Nov. 25.

• At 7:55 a.m. on Nov. 25, an attempted burglary that occurred about an hour prior in the 600 block of Northwest Pennsylvania Avenue was reported.

• An attempted burglary was reported in the 600 block of Northwest Pennsylvania Avenue at approximately 8:15 a.m. on Nov. 25.

• Storage units in the 300 block of Southwest Newaukum Avenue were reportedly burglarized at 6:45 p.m. on Nov. 25.   

• Just after 10:40 a.m. on Nov. 26, there was a report of a subject who reportedly broke into a building in the 1000 block of South Market Boulevard sometime the night before, “got wasted and puked everywhere,” according to police reports. No arrests were made. 

 

Malicious Mischief

• Vandalism to a vehicle in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue was reported just after 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 24.

• At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 24, a vehicle window was reported broken in the 600 block of Northwest Arkansas Way.

• The back window of a vehicle in the 900 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue was reported smashed just before 3:40 p.m. on Nov. 28.

 

Harassment

• At approximately 2:40 p.m. on Nov. 24, a caller in the 300 block of Southwest 15th Street reported receiving several threatening phone messages.

• A case of harassment reported in the 600 block of Southeast Dobson Court just after 6:35 p.m. on Nov. 27 is under investigation.

 

Animal Abuse

• A case of possible animal abuse was reported in the 1300 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 4:50 p.m. on Nov. 24.

 

Crash

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Southwest 13th Street and South Market Boulevard at 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 28.

 

Hit-and-Run

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 3:50 p.m. on Nov. 28.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 149 inmates, including 135 in the general population and 14 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 108 were reported male and 27 were reported female. All WERC inmates were reported male.
