CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Trespassing

• A report of trespassing made in the 500 block of Northwest Center Street just before 9:10 a.m. on Jan. 10 is under investigation.

 

Dispute

• Two subjects were cited for “fighting over a shopping cart” near a Department of Corrections vehicle in the 10 block of Southwest Chehalis Avenue just after 10:50 a.m. on Jan. 10.

 

Counterfeit Money

• Counterfeit money was reported in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard just after 9:05 p.m. on Jan. 11.

 

Possible Traffic Hazard

• Just after 1:10 p.m. on Jan. 11, a caller reported a stoplight at an intersection in the 800 block of West Main Street “that is dangling and looks like it is going to fall off.”

 

Theft

• A welding unit was reported stolen from the 1000 block of Northwest Maryland Avenue just before 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 11.

• A subject was arrested in the 600 block of West Main Street at 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 11 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly stealing items from a place they had been trespassed from.

• A vehicle theft reported in the 1200 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 4:50 p.m. on Jan. 11 is under investigation.

 

Assault

• A fourth-degree assault reported in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street just after 1:50 p.m. on Jan. 11 is under investigation.

 

Crashes

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 3:15 p.m. on Jan. 11.

• A subject reported back pain after they were involved in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of South Market Boulevard and East Main Street at 5:45 p.m. on Jan. 11.

 



CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Trespassing

• A subject was cited for trespassing in the 300 block of North Gold Street at approximately 10:05 a.m. on Jan. 10.

 

Theft

• At approximately 11:25 p.m. on Jan. 10, a window was reported broken out of a trailer in the 1000 block of Grand Avenue and several items were reported stolen from inside.

• A battery was reported stolen from the 1200 block of Alder Street just after 2:25 p.m. on Jan. 11.

 

Threatened With a Hammer

• A subject was arrested in the 100 block of West Magnolia Street just before 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 10 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for second-degree burglary and harassment after they allegedly stepped into a neighbor’s apartment and threatened to hit the neighbor with a hammer.

 

Hit-and-Run

• A hit-and-run to a power pole at the intersection of West Fourth and G streets was reported just after 12:45 a.m. on Jan. 11. A suspect was cited for the incident after they were stopped for a traffic infraction in the 1100 block of E Street at 9:35 p.m. that same day.

 

Malicious Mischief

• Damage to a vehicle’s rear windshield that was reported in the 1800 block of Ham Hill Road just after 2:45 p.m. on Jan. 11 is under investigation.

 

Dispute

• Just after 5:15 p.m. on Jan. 11, there was a report of one vehicle intentionally ramming a second vehicle in the 200 block of East Chestnut Street. No injuries were reported and the case is under investigation.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 140 inmates, including 125 in the general population and 15 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 99 were reported male and 26 were reported female. All WERC inmates were reported male.
