Vehicle Prowl

• At 9:45 a.m. on May 14, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 600 block of Southeast Dobson Court that occurred sometime the night before.

 

Theft

• A black box trailer was reported stolen from the 2100 block of North National Avenue at 5:05 p.m. on May 14.

• Mail was reported stolen from the 700 block of Southwest 20th Street just before 8:30 p.m. on May 14.

 

Assault

• A custodial assault that allegedly occurred on April 23 was reported at Green Hill School just after 11:20 a.m. on May 14.

 

Harassment

• Just after 11:30 a.m. on May 14, a caller reported that her neighbor was “trying to get her fired from her job” and had been harassing her via several “fake accounts.” No arrests were made.

 

Identity Theft

• A case of identity theft reported in the 1900 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 4:10 p.m. on May 14 is under investigation.

 

Malicious Mischief

• At 3:30 p.m. on May 15, a caller reported that someone “poked a hole in the gas tank to one of their vehicles and drained the gas out” in the 1500 block of North National Avenue sometime the day before.

 

Hit-and-Run

• A vehicle reportedly crashed into a crosswalk light pole in the 500 block of Southwest Parkland Drive just before 9:40 p.m. on May 15 and fled the scene. The driver was located and cited for a hit-and-run.

 

Crash

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Southeast Fourth Street and South Market Boulevard was reported just before 2:10 p.m. on May 16.

 

Death Investigation



• A death reported in the 100 block of Southeast Monroe Avenue just after 9:45 a.m. on May 16 is under investigation.

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Graffiti

• Graffiti was reported on a fence at the intersection of L and West Fifth streets just after 11 a.m. on May 14.

• Graffiti was reported on a street sign at the intersection of West Third Street and Euclid Way just after 11:40 a.m. on May 14.

 

Theft

• Clothing was reported stolen from the 1400 block of Lum Road at approximately 1:55 p.m. on May 14.

• A camera was reported stolen from the 500 block of East Main Street just after 2:10 p.m. on May 14.

• Cigarettes were reported stolen from the 600 block of South Tower Avenue just after 2:40 p.m. on May 14.

• A wallet was reported stolen from the 600 block of Jackson Street just before 1:45 p.m. on May 15.

• Gasoline was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue just after 3:15 p.m. on May 15.

 

Crashes

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision at the intersection of North Gold and East Maple streets was reported at 9:50 a.m. on May 15.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue was reported just after 11 a.m. on May 15.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision in the 500 block of East Summa Street was reported just before 12:25 p.m. on May 15.

• A “minor accident” was reported at the intersection of Reynolds Avenue and Lum Road just after 6:35 p.m. on May 15.

 

DUI

• Zim I. Hall, 37, of Centralia, was arrested at the intersection of North Tower Avenue and East Third Street just after 10:20 p.m. on May 16 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence.

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 160 inmates, including 141 in the general population and 19 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 114 were reported male and 27 were reported female. All WERC inmates were reported male.
