Sirens: Father steals daughter's personal info; 'Jane Doe' jailed; $3,000 in lotion stolen

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Hit-and-run

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 200 block of South Silver Street just before  9:55 a.m. on Feb. 3.

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 200 block of South Pearl Street at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Feb. 2. The case is under investigation.

 

Drug violations

• Officers were dispatched to a trespass request outside a church in the 1100 block of West First Street just after 8:05 a.m. on Feb. 2. Officers contacted the male, 62, of Centralia, and trespassed him from the property. He was arrested on an outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrant and was booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail on his outstanding warrant and knowing possession of meth.

• Officers responded to Centralia Middle School in the 900 block of Johnson Road just before 2:45 p.m. on Feb. 2 for a report of a student in possession of a vape pen containing “suspected marijuana oil and/or THC.” Charges were referred to Lewis County Juvenile Court.

• A 64-year-old Centralia man was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue just after 1:35 p.m. on Feb. 3. Upon arrest, he was found to have meth in his possession.

 

Theft

• At approximately 1:50 p.m. on Feb. 2, a caller in the 600 block of West Roanoke Street reported her father, who lives in Arizona, used her personal information to obtain food stamps and a credit card. The case is under investigation.

• Just after 9:10 p.m. on Feb. 3, a business in the 200 block of North Tower Avenue asked officers to trespass a woman who refused to leave when asked. When officers responded to the business, they were advised by management that the suspect went into the employee area, put on an employee’s coat and exited the business. Employees contacted the female and removed the coat from her before she departed on foot. Officers contacted the suspect a couple blocks away and placed her into custody for the theft. She refused to provide her name to the officers.   She was booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail as “Jane Doe” for third-degree theft and obstructing a public servant.

• A woman allegedly stole about $100 worth of items from a grocery store in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just before 9:45 p.m. on Feb. 2. She reportedly fled the scene in a pickup truck driven by a male. The case is under investigation.

• At 7:15 a.m. on Feb. 4, a white Toyota Tacoma was reported stolen from the 2600 block of Cooks Hill Road sometime over the last two days.

• Just after 11:25 a.m. on Feb. 4, a black bag holding Dungeons and Dragons books was reported stolen out of  a vehicle in the 400 block of South Oak Street sometime overnight.

• A group of three unidentified females reported stole over $3,000 of lotion products from a business in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue at 6:25 p.m. on Feb. 4. The suspects reportedly concealed the stolen items in their clothing and left the store.

 

Criminal trespass

• At 10:35 p.m. on Feb. 3, a business in the 1200 block of North Pearl Street asked officers to trespass a man from the business. An officer was unable to locate the man.

• The owner of a business in the 1000 block of South Gold Street asked officers to trespass a male wearing “a tan baseball cap, blue sweater and a backpack” who was “prowling around their business” at approximately 3:55 a.m. on Feb. 5. Officers were unable to locate the individual.

 

Disorderly conduct

• A disorderly woman was reportedly “throwing merchandise” inside a business in the 1100 block of South Gold Street at 4:40 p.m. on Feb. 2. She left the business before officers arrived. Officers were unable to locate her. 

• Officers were asked to move along a disorderly woman who was blocking traffic at the intersection of Johnson Road and West Reynolds Avenue just after 6:30 a.m. on Feb. 5. Officers were unable to locate her.

 

Malicious mischief

• A 38-year-old Chehalis man was arrested in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road just after 9:05 a.m. on Feb. 2 and was booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for third-degree malicious mischief after he “kicked and caused damage to a motel door.” He was trespassed from the motel.

• Vandalism to a vehicle in a hotel parking lot in the 1200 block of Mellen Street was reported just after 9:45 a.m. on Feb. 4. The case is under investigation.

 

Vehicle accidents

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue just after 3 p.m. on Feb. 2.

 

DUI

• A 23-year-old Centralia man was arrested at the intersection of South Pearl Street and Centralia College Boulevard just after 1:05 a.m. on Feb. 3 and was booked into the Chehalis Tribal Jail for DUI.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• An EBT card was reported stolen from the 800 block of Southeast Adams Avenue just after 7:45 a.m. on Feb. 2.

• A third-degree theft reported in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard just after 4:20 p.m. on Feb. 2 is under investigation.



• A vehicle prowl was reported in the 100 block of Southwest Sixth Street at approximately 7:45 a.m. on Feb. 3.

• Just after 3:20 p.m. on Feb. 4, a first-degree theft that occurred in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard the day prior was reported.

• A shoplift was reported at a business in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 4:20 p.m. on Feb. 4.

 

Malicious mischief

• At approximately 9:45 a.m. on Feb. 2, malicious mischief to a bathroom in the 200 block of Southwest 13th Street that occurred sometime overnight was reported.

 

Vehicle accidents

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way and Northwest State Avenue at 3:20 p.m. on Feb. 2.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 9:25 a.m. on Feb. 3.

• At approximately 11:15 a.m. on Feb. 3, a non-injury, two-vehicle collision that occurred at the intersection of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and state Route 6 at 10:30 a.m. that morning was reported.

• A possible head injury was reported following a one-vehicle collision in the 1300 block of Southwest Wilson Avenue just before 1:05 a.m. on Feb. 4.

• A non-injury vehicle accident was reported in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 4:05 a.m. on Feb. 4.

• A non-injury vehicle accident reported in the 1900 block of South Market Boulevard at approximately 5 a.m. on Feb. 4 is under investigation.

• A non-injury vehicle accident reported at the intersection Northeast Kresky Avenue and Northeast Median Street just after 1:45 p.m. on Feb. 4 is under investigation.

 

Disorderly conduct

• A woman was reportedly screaming outside of a property in the 300 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue just before 3:45 p.m. on Feb. 2.

 

Disputes

• A physical dispute involving “at least five people” was reported at a motel in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue just after 12:45 a.m. on Feb. 3.

• Two male subjects were reportedly fighting in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street just after 1:35 a.m. on Feb. 3. The reporting party stated “people (are) saying they’re brothers and to just let them fight.”

 

Criminal trespass

• A woman who was “going on about the Constitution and dancing” and refused to leave when asked was trespassed from a store in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 7:10 p.m. on Jan. 2.

• Two subjects who were “charging their phones” and “leaving messes” in a laundry room in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street just after 10:50 a.m. on

 

Hit-and-run

• A hit-and-run was reported at W.F. West High School in the 300 block of Southwest 16th Street just after 7:25 p.m. on Feb. 2.

 

Assault

• A second-degree assault reported in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street at approximately 2:10 a.m. on Feb. 3 is under investigation.

 

Suspicious circumstances

• “Suspicious circumstances” reported in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue just after 3 a.m. on Feb. 4 are under investigation.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 135 inmates, including 122 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 97 were reported male and 25 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
