Sirens: Hit-and-Run; Assault at Medical Facility; Harassment

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Hit-and-Run

• At approximately 12:55 p.m. on Aug. 4, a caller reported a hit-and-run that occurred in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue sometime the day before.

 

Crashes

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 600 block of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way just before 3 p.m. on Aug. 4.

• Minor injuries were reported after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of South Market Boulevard and Southwest 13th Street at approximately 9 a.m. on Aug. 5.

 

Under Investigation

• A case of harassment reported in the 1000 block of Northwest Maryland Avenue just before 2 p.m. on Aug. 4 is under investigation.

• An assault reported in the 300 block of Southwest 11th Street at 2:20 p.m. on Aug. 4 is under investigation.

• A case of third-degree malicious mischief reported in the 100 block of Southeast Westside Drive just after 9 p.m. on Aug. 5 is under investigation.

 

Theft

• Attempted shoplifting was reported in the 1700 block of North National Avenue just after 4 p.m. on Aug. 4.



• A subject was cited for shoplifting in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 5:25 p.m. on Aug. 4.

• A third-degree theft reported in the 200 block of Southwest 13th Street at 11:45 a.m. on Aug. 5 is under investigation.

 

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Assault

• Kaylee R. Johnson, 22, of Aberdeen, was arrested in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road at 1:20 p.m. on Aug. 4 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly assaulting a staff member at a medical facility.

 

Vehicle Theft

• A gray 1989 Toyota pickup was reported stolen from the 1300 block of Alexander Street just after 6:20 a.m. on Aug. 6.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 131 inmates, including 115 in the general population and 16 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 98 were reported male and 17 were reported female. All WERC inmates were reported male.
