CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Crashes

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision in the 1800 block of North Pearl Street was reported at approximately 7:45 a.m. on June 14.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision at the intersection of North Tower Avenue and West Sixth Street was reported just after 4 p.m. on June 14.

 

Counterfeiting

• A counterfeit $100 bill was reported in the 100 block of West First Street just before 9 a.m. on June 14.

 

Theft

• A vape was reported stolen from the 1300 block of South Gold Street at 2:15 p.m. on June 14.

• Merchandise was reported stolen from a building in the 1000 block of South Gold Street at approximately 5:15 a.m. on June 15. Police noted that the building had been broken into. A vehicle involved in the burglary was later recovered and investigation into the incident is ongoing.

• Just after 8:35 a.m. on June 15, a caller reported a vehicle had been stolen from a business in the 500 block of West Main Street and had been recovered a short time later.

• A third-degree theft was reported at a business in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue just before 3 p.m. on June 15.

 

Assault

• Haylee N. Yockey, 22, of Chehalis, was arrested in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road just before 2 p.m. on June 15 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault.

 

Inappropriate Communication With Minors

• At approximately 12:40 a.m. on June 16, there was a report of inappropriate communication online involving juveniles. The case is under investigation.

 

Malicious Mischief

• Graffiti was reported at a church in the 2800 block of Mt. Vista Road just after 3:20 p.m. on June 15.

• Damage to a vehicle’s windshield was reported in the 2800 block of Russell Road at approximately 10:45 p.m. on June 15.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft and Burglary

• A second-degree burglary reported in the 600 block of Northwest Middle Street just after 9:45 a.m. on June 14 is under investigation.



• A third-degree theft reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 1:10 p.m. on June 14 is under investigation.

• At approximately 4:20 p.m. on June 14, a man allegedly stole popcorn chicken from the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and reportedly pushed a woman as he ran out of the building. No arrests were made.

• A license plate was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 300 block of West Main Street at approximately 5:25 p.m. on June 14.

• A wallet was reported stolen from the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 7:40 p.m. on June 14.

• A theft reported in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 8:05 p.m. on June 14 is under investigation.

• A possible burglary to a storage shed in the 2100 block of North National Avenue was reported just after 11:05 a.m. on June 15.

• A third-degree theft reported in the 1700 block of North National Avenue at 2:50 p.m. on June 15 is under investigation.

• Apparel and some other merchandise was reported stolen from the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 9:50 p.m. on June 15.

 

Crash

• A non-injury, three-vehicle collision at the intersection of South Market Boulevard and Southeast 16th Street was reported at 11:45 a.m. on June 14.

 

Hit-and-Run

• A hit-and-run was reported at the intersection of Northeast Boistfort Street and Northeast Washington Avenue just after 6:15 p.m. on June 15.

 

Suspicious Vehicle

• A case involving a “suspicious vehicle” reported just before 6:15 p.m. on June 14 in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue is under investigation.

 

Assault

• Todd R. McMenamy, 54, of Chehalis was arrested in the 1400 block of Southwest Mills Avenue at 6:35 p.m. on June 15 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 137 inmates, including 105 in the general population and 32 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 84 were reported male and 21 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 29 were reported male and 3 were reported female.
