CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Broken Window

• A broken window in the 100 block of West Magnolia Street was reported at 9:10 a.m. on March 12.

 

Burglary and Theft

• Vehicle parts were reported stolen from the 600 block of M Street just after 10:45 a.m. on March 12.

• Just after 8:45 a.m. on March 13, a bicycle was reported stolen from the 600 block of South Cedar Street.

• Theft of mail was reported in the 500 block of Hillkress Street just before 12:30 p.m. on March 13.

• A third-degree theft resulting from a phone scam was reported by a caller in the 1400 block of Lewis Street at 12:05 p.m. on March 14.

• A second-degree burglary of a residence in the 100 block of West Pear Street was reported just after 12:20 p.m. on March 14.

• Theft of merchandise from a business in the 1400 block of Lum Road was reported just after 1:45 p.m. on March 14.

Vehicle Prowl

• A vehicle’s window was reported broken and a Bible inside was stolen just after 2:50 p.m. on March 12 in the 100 block of North Oak Street.

• Items were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of North Iron Street at 2:45 p.m. on March 13.

• A vehicle prowl in the 100 block of North Oak Street was reported just after 4:40 a.m. on March 15.

 

Trespass and Reckless Burning

• Noah Natividad, 65, of Seattle, was arrested in the 700 block of North Tower Avenue just before 11:10 p.m. on March 12 for alleged criminal trespass and reckless burning and released at the scene with a court date. He was arrested again just before 4:30 p.m. on March 13 for allegedly trespassing in the same neighborhood. He was released with a court date.

 

Open Container

• A 31-year-old transient man was issued an infraction just after 7:40 p.m. on March 13 in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue for allegedly having an open container of alcohol in public. He was issued a second infraction just before 1 p.m.

 

Crashes

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue was reported just after 3 p.m. on March 13.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision in the 800 block of Harrison Avenue was reported at 7:15 p.m. on March 15.

 

Hit-and-Run

• A hit-and-run collision in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue was reported just before 7 p.m. on March 13.

 

DUI

• Abigael A. Wilhite, 21, of Centralia, was arrested just before 4:30 a.m. on March 14 for allegedly driving under the influence after she struck a parked car with her vehicle at the intersection of North Pearl and 1st streets.

 

Assault

• Kathy L. Powell, 67, of Centralia, was arrested in the 700 block of South Pearl Street just after 4:05 p.m. on March 14 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

• Craig J. Ferguson, 31, of Chehalis, was arrested in the 1200 block of West Main Street just after 9:15 p.m. on March 14 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and alleged interfering with the report of domestic violence.

 

Obstructing Law Enforcement

• Brandon L. Jones, 35, of Centralia, was arrested at the intersection of West Center Street and North Washington Avenue just after 1:45 a.m. on March 15 and booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly obstructing a law enforcement officer.



 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Vehicle Theft

• A vehicle was reported stolen from the 10 block of Northeast Washington Avenue just after 9:05 a.m. on March 12 after a subject was reportedly loaned the vehicle back in December and did not return it.

• A vehicle theft reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 2:05 p.m. on March 12 is under investigation.

 

Theft

• A theft reported in the 300 block of North Market Boulevard just after 11:30 a.m. on March 12 is under investigation.

• Zacharey J. Hanley, 31, of Rochester, was arrested in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 6:40 a.m. on March 13 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged third-degree theft after he allegedly stole a “tote full of items” from a business. He was also booked on warrants for alleged reckless driving, second-degree animal cruelty, hit-and-run and fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

 

Hit-and-Run

• At 9:45 p.m. on March 12, a hit-and-run that occurred between noon and 2 p.m. earlier that day in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue was reported.

 

Crash

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue was reported just after 9:45 a.m. on March 13.

 

Scam Info

• A possible scam where “a male with two kids in the car” in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue told the caller that he lost his wallet and attempted to sell her a “fake gold chain” was reported just after 2:35 p.m. on March 13. The man reportedly left after the caller “flashed her badge” at him.

 

Harassment

• At approximately 3:45 p.m. on March 13, a caller reported that her ex “won’t stop texting her and harassing her,” and he allegedly threatened to “mess up her car.” The caller was advised to get a no-contact order and no further action was taken.

• Just after 9:50 a.m. on March 14, a caller reported receiving threats via phone from a family member they reportedly hadn’t spoken to in over 20 years.

 

Death Investigation

• A death that was reported in the 1700 block of Southwest Snively Avenue just after 1:50 a.m. on March 13 is under investigation.

 

Vicious Dog

• A report of a possible vicious dog in the 400 block of Northwest Quincy Place just after 6 p.m. on March 13 is under investigation.

 

DUI

• Kolby A. Steen, 22, of Centralia was arrested in the 500 block of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way at 5:55 a.m. on March 14 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Monday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 138 inmates, including 122 in the general population and 16 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 104 were male and 18 were female. All WERC inmates were male.
