Sirens: Refusal to Provide Information to Police; Assault; DUI Arrests; Theft and Burglary

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Refusal to Provide Information to Police

• Dean E. Phillips, 52, of Centralia, was arrested in the 100 block of South Pearl Street just before 1:20 p.m. on March 17 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving with a suspended license and refusing to provide officers with required information.

 

Assault

• Carly C. Pinkerton, 27, of Centralia, was arrested in the 500 block of West Pine Street just before 6:40 p.m. on March 17 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

• Just after 2:10 a.m. on March 19, a victim was reportedly assaulted with a firearm in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road. No arrests were made.

 

DUI

• Kimberly L. Sergeant, 38, of Centralia, was arrested in the 700 block of North Tower Avenue just before 11 p.m. on March 17 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence.

• Rebecca A. Dahl, 39, of Centralia, was arrested at the intersection of West Third and North Pearl streets just before 6:10 p.m. on March 18 and booked into the Lewis County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence.

 

Theft and Burglary

• A burglary in the 100 block of East High Street was reported just after 1:20 a.m. on March 18. A window was broken and numerous lighters were stolen.

• Moriah P. Carton, 33, of Centralia, was arrested in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road just before 10:10 a.m. on March 18 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for alleged second-degree burglary.

• At 12:05 p.m. on March 18, a catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of North Pearl Street.

• At 6:15 p.m. on March 18, shoes were reported stolen from the 1300 block of Lum Road.

• Just before 2:20 a.m. on March 19, a smoke shop in the 100 block of East High Street was broken into and items were reported stolen.

 

Crash

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision at the intersection of West Cherry and South Pearl streets was reported at 2:05 p.m. on March 18. The at-fault driver was issued an infraction.

 

Hit-and-Run

• Just after 8:45 p.m. on March 18, a light pole at the intersection of Borst Avenue and Johnson Road was struck by an unknown vehicle.

• At 12:05 a.m. on March 19, a vehicle parked in the 1300 block of Oxford Avenue was reportedly struck. The incident is under investigation.

 

Obstructing Public Servant

• Tawnya M. Kellogg, 41, of Chehalis, was arrested in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue just before 8:45 p.m. on March 18 and was booked into the Lewis County Jail for an outstanding felony warrant and for allegedly obstructing a law enforcement officer.

 



Malicious Mischief

• A glass door in the 2000 block of Borst Avenue was reported broken just after 3:20 a.m. on March 19.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Assault

• A possible custodial assault that would have occurred Feb. 20 in the 300 block of Southwest 11th Street was reported just after 9:10 a.m. on March 17.

• A first-degree assault reported in the 700 block of Northwest Pennsylvania Avenue at 8:40 a.m. on March 18 is under investigation.

• A juvenile was arrested in the 900 block of Northwest St. Helens Avenue just before 12:50 p.m. on March 18 and was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center for alleged fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

• A potential assault in the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street was reported at 7:20 p.m. on March 18.

 

Crash

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Northwest Boistfort Street and Northwest Pacific Avenue was reported just after 2:15 p.m. on March 17.

 

Welfare Check

• Just after 4:30 p.m. on March 17, officers assisted Adult Protective Services with a welfare check in the 1500 block of North National Avenue.

 

Disorderly Conduct

• At 7:40 p.m. on March 17, a caller reported disorderly subjects “smashing things” in the 800 block of West Main Street. No arrests were made.

• Just before 1:10 p.m. on March 18, a caller reported a disorderly subject “flipping people and breaking the tree” in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. No arrests were made.

 

Attempted Shoplift

• Just after 4:40 p.m. on March 18, a caller requested that two subjects reportedly caught attempting to shoplift from a business in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue be trespassed.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 129 inmates, including 106 in the general population and 23 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 88 were reported male and 18 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 18 were reported male and five were reported female.
